- The Valley Observer debuted in the spring of 2008 to serve the Rockingham County and Harrisonburg region of the Shenandoah Valley. CONTRIBUTORS
- Evan Dyson is a Harrisonburg-based photojournalist and May 2008 graduate of James Madison University with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Media Arts & Design, concentrating in print journalism. While a student, he devoted most his time to the student newspaper, The Breeze. First as a photographer, then photo editor, and finally as managing editor. More of his resume can be seen here. He now freelances for publications and weddings in addition to coordinating and reporting for The Valley Observer. He is open to full-time employment or freelance opportunities.
- Brittany Hale is a senior at James Madison University majoring in Media Arts & Design, concentrating in print journalism, and minoring in Cultural Communications. She is also a contributing writer for the student newspaper, The Breeze.
