The Downtown Museum and Gallery Walk is underway in downtown Harrisonburg. The event, which is hosted by the Valley Arts Council, Harrisonburg Downtown Renaissance and the Chamber of Commerce, is expected to run until 8 p.m tonight. The evening will feature art openings, live music and dance, and street theater.

Whitney March of Harrisonburg inspects a completed piece of artwork that she painted in You Made It! Friday afternoon. The ceramic lizard will be a gift for a co-worker, she said.

Gail Schnider of Raleigh Springs works on a bowl Friday while her daughters, five-year-old Jillian Jones and eight-year-old Dana Jones, paint ceramic sandals that will be added to a water-garden. The water-garden in You Made It! will be used as a fundraiser for the Harrisonburg Children’s Museum.
Some “media outlets” in the area neglected our community activity during the Art Walk. Thanks for reporting it.
David, thanks for dropping in. It was nice meeting you that day.
Evan,
Thank you for featuring one of our Challenge Students. We like the angle you took the photo of the mother and daughters pottery adventures.
Warmly,
Mrs. Jantzi
